Fun Things to Do With Kids in Easton, PA
Karl Stirner Arts Trail
📍Small parking lot on N 13th St between Wood Ave and Simon Blvd or park at 1247 Simon Blvd and cross the bridge over Bushkill Creek to access the trail.
The Karl Stirner Arts Trail is a fun outdoor experience that kids will love!
Set along the Bushkill Creek, the 1.75-mile trail features colorful and imaginative sculptures and interactive art pieces. It’s perfect for kids to walk or bike and spend time outside enjoying art.
There are also art-themed events and activities throughout the year.
Bushkill Park
Bushkill Park is one of the oldest continuously operating amusement parks in the country!
Although the park is small, it still offers family-friendly fun in Easton, featuring rides like a train, a merry-go-round, and a tilt-a-whirl. They also have the oldest funhouse in the US! The rides are open on weekends during the summer. Visit their Facebook page for events and other information.

Crayola Experience

The Crayola Experience in Easton is a 65,000-square-foot wonderland bursting with color and imagination. It’s a perfect attraction to escape the heat in the middle of summer or warm up during winter.
It’s a creative kid’s dream, featuring over 25 hands-on attractions that blend art, science, and technology in the most delightful ways. Kids can design their own crayons, sculpt with Model Magic, melt wax into keepsake creations, and even come up with a personalized color name.
And after all of that, they can burn off some energy at the giant color playground inside.
Hologram Zoo
📍123 S 3rd St #4. Garage parking is available on-site.
For a different kind of activity, check out the Hologram Zoo Lehigh Valley, located within City Hall.
The immersive experience has guests walk through five environments—complete with tunnels, fenced enclosures, and a sky‑roof— while wearing 3D glasses, bringing wild animals like lions, giraffes, whales, and even dinosaurs to life.
Each visit lasts approximately 30–45 minutes and wraps up with a fun photo studio session and a “Projectogram”—a holographic souvenir card.
National Canal Museum and Boat Ride
Learn some fun history about the Lehigh Canal and take a boat ride pulled by mules! The National Canal Museum features several interactive exhibits for kids to enjoy, including building an aqueduct and harnessing a mule.
After exploring the museum, make sure to take a ride on the Josiah White II, a canal boat that is pulled by two mules. The ride lasts about an hour, and you’ll learn more about the history of the canal and anthracite mining.
Hugh Moore Park
There is even more to do at High Moore Park in addition to the National Canal Museum. You can easily spend a full day here.
First, bring your bike to enjoy the trails and bike skills park. Don’t have one? Don’t worry! You can rent a bike while you’re there. They also rent paddleboats, kayaks, and canoes to take on the canal.
In addition to all that, there is a well-equipped playground with numerous attractions to keep kids entertained for a long time. Pack a lunch to enjoy at one of the picnic tables to make a full day out of it!
HangDog Outdoor Adventures
One of the coolest things to do in Easton is HangDog Outdoor Adventures’ ropes course! It’s the largest high ropes adventure course on the East Coast! And it’s also one of our favorite ropes courses in southeastern PA.
They offer a lower level for “pups” and three upper levels for the big dogs. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure-style course, so you can complete the obstacles you want and avoid others. They also have a zip line!
Don’t want to climb? Don’t worry! HangDog also features a brewery and cafe on-site, where non-climbers can relax while watching their friends and family defy gravity.
St. Luke’s Anderson Campus Enchanted Forest
The Enchanted Forest at the St. Luke’s Anderson campus in Easton is a fun place for kids to explore and use their imagination!
Kids can wander through the trails looking for fairy houses, climbing through tunnels and on logs, and playing with the natural attractions. In the late summer, you can also enjoy the massive field of sunflowers!
The garden is located past the pond, down the path, and a wooden archway marks its entrance.
Delaware River Railroad Excursions
📍99 Elizabeth St in, Phillipsburg, NJ
While not technically in Easton, PA, it’s just across the river, so it counts, right?
Take a ride on the Delaware River Railroad! Scenic train rides are offered throughout the year. Some are themed by season, featuring fall and Christmas train rides.
Many of their train rides incorporate a stop with an activity, like their Mine Train or Dino Days Trains, giving you more to do during your visit!
More Things to Do Near Easton
Although there are plenty of activities in town, a short drive can get you to even more fun!
The Lost River Caverns, located about 20 minutes away, is a small yet beautiful cave that offers additional activities on-site, including gem mining and hiking.
In Bethlehem, about 20 minutes away, you’ll find attractions like the National Museum of Industrial History and the Steel Stacks, which hosts music events and festivals throughout the year.
