About Holland Ridge Farms
Holland Ridge Farms, in Cream Ridge, New Jersey, opened in 2018 for U-Pick Tulips on their 15-acre farm. The following fall, they started offering U-Pick Sunflowers. And then in 2022, they doubled the size of the farm, making it one of the largest tulip and sunflower fields in New Jersey!
Then, to really drive home the “Holland” experience, they built a 100-foot, fully functional windmill, which opened to the public in 2025.
Ever since, they’ve been growing their events and created the Winter Wonderland featuring over 50,000 glowing tulips, which is one of our favorite holiday light displays close to Philadelphia.
Prepare For Your Visit to Holland Ridge Farms’ Glowing Tulips Event
Dates
Winter Wonderland at Holland Ridge Farms runs daily from the weekend before Thanksgiving through the first weekend in January. It’s only closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Admission
For 2025, it’s $20/person to visit Winter Wonderland at Holland Ridge Farms on the weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). They offer discounted weekday tickets at $17/person.
You’ll need to purchase your timed admission ticket in advance on their website.
Parking
There is plenty of parking at Holland Ridge Farms! My advice is to try and reserve the first time slot for the evening so you don’t have to walk too far to the entrance.
Dress Warmly
The majority of the Winter Wonderland event at Holland Farms is outside, so you are exposed to the elements. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather!
Plan on being outside for at least an hour to see everything, though you’ll probably be there longer than that. It’s always a good idea to bring hand warmers to make the visit more comfortable.
Be Prepared for Mud
Holland Ridge Farms is, well, a farm! So there are areas throughout the event that can be muddy. Mostly, it can be avoided. But you still will want to wear shoes that you won’t care about getting dirty, just in case.
Bring a Wagon or Stroller
Holland Ridge Farms is HUGE! I’m not sure if it’s the biggest tulip farm in New Jersey, but it’s got to be one of the biggest.
And even though they condense the Winter Wonderland area to about 1/3 of the farm, it is still really big and requires a lot of walking. So, if you are bringing little ones, you’ll want to have a stroller or wagon ready for them when their legs get tired.
What Is Included at Holland Farms Winter Wonderland
Glowing Tulips & Other Light Displays
Holland Ridge Farms is known for its tulip fields in the spring. And in the winter, they are home to over 50,000 glowing tulips. Most of them are “planted” in the field, creating a gorgeous lit view.
In addition to the tulips, there is a HUGE (maybe New Jersey’s longest?) lighted tunnel, several structures you can climb on or in for photos, and giant light-up tulips.
Windmill Music and Light Show
Every 30 minutes, the windmill at the back of the farm puts on a show with synchronized lights and music. It plays about 3-4 songs, then takes a break before the next show.
The nice thing is that there are picnic tables, some see-saws, a swing, and a food stand next to the windmill to keep you occupied as you wait for the next show.
Play Areas
There are a few play areas around the farm to keep kids active and entertained.
First, there is a play area between the Santa Claus Experience and the Igloo Ball Pit. It features several see-saws, a few slides, swings, and more.
The other play area is next to the windmill. As mentioned above, there are also light-up see-saws, a big swing, and some light-up spinning seats for the kids.
And, if you rent one of the cozy cabins, you also have access to private light-up see-saws.
Disco, Moovie Theater, and Igloo Ballpit
Some of the more unique activities at Winter Wonderland are the light-up disco (with a glowing floor at your feet and glowing tulips above!), the 20-foot inflatable Igloo Ball Pit (with over 75,000 balls inside), and the Moovie Theater.
Character Meet & Greets
On Friday and Saturday nights, guests can meet popular characters such as Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and the Grinch.
More Fun For an Additional Fee
Meet Santa
On select nights between Thanksgiving and Christmas, guests can opt for the Santa Claus Experience, which includes access to Santa’s workshop, a meet-and-greet with the big man himself, a framed photo keepsake, and a special gift.
The Santa Claus Experience is $20-$30 per family, depending on the day.
Petting Zoo and Pony Rides
Set up near the Igloo Ball Pit, the petting zoo lets guests meet and interact with several animals, including a piglet, goats, and more. It’s $5/ person to access the petting zoo area.
There are also pony rides available for a fee.
Cozy Cabins
Six heated, festively decorated glass cabins are available to rent while you visit the Winter Wonderland. You’ll have access for 60 minutes and can see all of the beautiful light-up tulip fields from the cabins. They have seating for up to 10 adults and include hot chocolate and cookies for everyone.
Cozy Cabins cost $150-$200 for 1 hour, depending on the day.
Food Trucks
There are food trucks selling yummy food every night of the event. Some nights have fewer trucks than others. Every night, hot cocoa, cider, and kettlecorn is available for purchase.
There is a heated tent set up right next to the food trucks so you can enjoy your snacks and dinner in comfort.
Shopping
Are you looking for unique holiday gifts? Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop! You can buy Holland Ridge Farms-branded gear, like shirts and hats. They also sell tulips (both alive and fake), ornaments, vases, and other fun goods.
Holland Ridge Farms Winter Wonderland: Is It Worth It?
Around the holidays, budgets can start to get tight, thanks to gift buying and all of the available holiday activities. So, it’s always good to know if the activity is worth the price!
And honestly, I think this one is. It’s definitely pricey for a family of four ($80 on a weekend night), but it’s very unique, and there is enough to do to keep you entertained for more than an hour!
If you go during the week (even the weekdays between Christmas and New Year’s) it’s cheaper! So, maybe plan to attend that week. But seeing all those glowing tulips is really something special and worth the price.
